污泥是污水进行脱水处理后的产物，主要以有机物为主，并含有大量的微生物、病原体、重金属等。长期以来，我国污水处理界受传统“重水轻泥”思想的影响，导致污泥安全、有效、卫生的处理处置问题一直未得到很好的解决。
